The Fallengoddess.com Story
FallenGoddess.com was started in April of 2003 in response to a change in policy at another lesbian website. That website decided to start charging its members for the ability to log on and post. At that time, our founder Rachel, applied her technical skills to create FallenGoddess as a free site for lesbians to meet and discuss issues, share a laugh, and meet new friends.
The name FallenGoddess comes from Rachel's personal philosophy that all women are, at their very core, Goddesses. Perhaps not all women recognize their strength and beauty, nonetheless, they are all Goddesses.
The fallen part of the name comes from the fact that we are all human, and therefore imperfect. Still, the flaws are what give us character and make us interesting.
Since FallenGoddess came into being, the guiding principals here have been respect, compassion, and understanding. We may not always get along, still, we all try to value each others opinions.
Since FallenGoddess became a reality in cyberspace, many of the members have had a chance to meet each other in person and many close friendships have blossomed.
